One Year Old

Our little guy is one year old today. Noah is such a joy and a blessing to our lives. At one year, Noah is very curious and wants to figure out how all his toys work, especially the stacking rings. He likes to crawl around and gets a kick out of escaping when he sees the baby-gate door has been left open. He sleeps from 6pm to 6 am and usually takes two hour-long naps during the day. His favorite foods are Cheerio's, peas, and raisins; although there isn't much he doesn't like to eat. He likes to clap for himself and is learning how to wave, though he never seems to wave at the right time. Noah now has four teeth, two top and two on bottom. He likes to "talk" and is very passionate about what he is saying, but the words aren't clear to us yet. It is such a wonder how much he has changed this year, we are excited to see what the next year brings!

Playing

Noah has been so busy with play lately. He is really discovering his world. I make a little video of some of the things he likes to do...

Visitors

Noah got to visit with his friend Lauren Vance today. Lauren's Mommy, Angelica, was one of Carolyn's college roommates and all around wonderful person. We hope Noah was inspired by all of Lauren's walking and talking - she is such a smart girl!

Garden Dreams

I often wish I was a fantastic gardener. Last night I planned out our backyard while Daniel watched and I listened to one of our favorite shows, Ugly Betty. My dream garden would have a lot of hydrangeas and peonies. My wedding bouquet was made from peonies, they are so beautiful!

Here's what I want my backyard to be like. Maybe when I have some more time...

Top Tooth

Noah's first top tooth cut through today, and boy is he ever mad about it. This morning he took out his teething frustrations on a little stuffed lamb. Poor thing didn't stand a chance. The lamb has requested a transfer to the toy protection program.
